Learn By Doing
Undergraduate students may gain research experience by working with a faculty member on an independent study or through an internship in the community. Past undergraduate projects have included topics in cultural competency assessment, immigrants' adaptation to the American criminal justice system, and the nature of culture among juvenile delinquents.
At the graduate level, the department encourages graduate students to take CRJ 590 Independent Study, CRJ 690, Master's Project, and/or CRJ 710 Research Project, to be actively involved in research before they graduate.
Student Research and Creativity Conference
The annual Student Research and Creativity Conference will be held at Buffalo State on Friday, May 5, 2023.
Student proposals for research poster sessions, oral presentations, and performances of creative work are cordially welcomed.
Online abstract submission is open until Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
